Boundless Brighton & Hove Zen Sangha is a small, volunteer-run meditation group. We collect as little personal information as we can, and we only use it to reply to you or to keep you informed about the sangha.
What we collect
If you contact us: your name, email address and whatever you write in your message. We use this only to reply and to answer any follow-up questions.
If you subscribe to updates: your email address, which we use to send occasional news about sittings, retreats and sangha events.
We do not collect anything else, and this site does not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Our lawful basis
We rely on your consent for sending you updates - you gave it by entering your email address, and you can withdraw it at any time. For replying to an enquiry, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to someone who has contacted us.
Who can see it
Only the small number of sangha members who look after enquiries and the mailing list. We never sell, rent or share your details with anyone else, and we do not pass them to other organisations for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as the conversation is useful, and then delete them. We keep your email address on the mailing list until you ask us to remove it, or until the list is no longer running.
Unsubscribing
Every update we send includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also just get in touch and ask, and we will take you off the list straight away.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Please contact us and we will sort it out.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
